A third-country national may be granted a residence permit for the purpose of family reunification if he or she
the family member of a third-country national with a residence permit, immigration permit, permanent residence permit, temporary residence permit, permanent residence permit or EU permanent residence permit, or a Hungarian citizen, or the family member of a person with a residence card or a permanent residence card under a special law
a family member of a recognised refugee or of a person granted subsidiary protection (in the case of the spouse of a recognised refugee, the spouse may be granted a residence permit in order to ensure the cohabitation of the family, if the marriage took place before the arrival of the recognised refugee in Hungary
unaccompanied parent or, if not, a guardian of a minor recognised as a refugee or a person who has been granted protection
sponsor, spouse or dependent parent of a recognised refugee
a brother or sister and an immediate family member of the sponsor or his or her spouse or a person recognised as a refugee or receiving protection under the law, if he or she is unable to look after himself or herself due to health reasons.
Family member:
Spouse of a third-country national or a Hungarian national (according to the relevant national legislation, the category of marital status "spouse" also applies to same-sex registered partners according to Act XXIX of 2009)
minor children (including adopted and stepchildren) of the third-country national and his/her spouse
Dependent minor children (including adopted and stepchildren) of a third-country national in respect of whom the third-country national has parental rights
a dependent minor child (including adopted or fostered) of the spouse of a third-country national or a Hungarian citizen in respect of whom the spouse has parental rights
The person having the parental care of an underage Hungarian citizen, who has parental care and lives in the same household as the Hungarian citizen
The application for a residence permit may be submitted in person, accompanied by documents proving the conditions of residence. The application shall be accompanied by a photograph of the person and an administrative fee in the amount prescribed by specific legislation. When submitting the application, a valid travel document must be presented. The passport must be valid on the date of expiry of the authorised right of residence.

Birth certificate, adoption certificate for the adopted child
If you want to establish an employment relationship
a prior agreement on the establishment of an employment relationship or a document confirming the employment relationship
a certified copy of the document proving the professional qualifications, education, language skills, experience and other skills of the third-country national necessary to carry out the activity, as well as a certified translation thereof
the document necessary to justify the preferential treatment referred to in Boxes 3, 9 or 12
Documentary proof of ownership of the home
a certified copy of the proof of ownership of the accommodation, no older than 30 days
lease contract
document of accommodation free of charge
a completed accommodation declaration form signed by the accommodation provider
Proof of means of subsistence:
an application for support from a member of the host family
certificate of income from the tax authorities (NAV) for the previous year
certificate of income issued by an employer
Proof of comprehensive health insurance
During the procedure, the Alien Registration Board may also request additional documents to verify the facts.
